Relevansi dan Tantangan bagi Pengkhotbah Abad ke-21

Narasi Perjanjian Lama memiliki kekayaan teologis, historis, dan pastoral yang relevan bagi kehidupan umat Kristen di abad ke-21. Namun, pengkhotbah kerap menghadapi tantangan dalam menjembatani konteks budaya dan historis dunia kuno dengan realitas jemaat masa kini. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi relevansi narasi Perjanjian Lama dalam khotbah kontemporer serta mengidentifikasi tantangan utama yang dihadapi pengkhotbah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur teologis dan homiletik, dipadukan dengan análisis kualitatif praktik pengkhotbah di beberapa pengkhotbah peserta pelatihan khotbah Langham Perjanjian Lama tahap -1 di Wisma Kinasih Bogor bulan September 2025. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa narasi Perjanjian Lama tetap memiliki daya transformasi iman yang signifikan apabila ditafsirkan dengan pendekatan kontekstual, hermeneutik naratif, serta relevansi teologis yang aktual. Kesimpulannya, pengkhotbah abad ke-21 dituntut untuk mengembangkan keterampilan hermeneutik yang peka terhadap konteks jemaat, serta mengintegrasikan pesan teologis Perjanjian Lama dengan tantangan iman Kristen di tengah-tengah jemaat masa kini, sehingga khotbah dapat menjadi sarana pembentukan spiritual yang hidup dan relevan.
