Pengajaran Makna Kata Mati Dalam Kejadian 2:16-17

Istilah mati yang tertulis dalam Kejadian 2:16-17 merupakan pernyataan yang janggal, dikarenakan perkataan Allah itu tidak menjadi kenyataan setelah manusia itu memakan buah pohon. Tidak sedikit kalangan yang memaklumi isi dari pernyataan tersebut, namun tidak sedikit yang mempertanyakannya. Mengapa manusia itu tidak mati pada hari itu, hari dimana mereka selesai memakan buah itu. Inilah yang mendorong penulis mengajukan penelitian ini untuk memberikan jawaban atas pertanyaan yang ada. Menjawab pertanyaan tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode analitis kritis terhadap ayat tersebut. Hermeneutika khusus akan dipakai sebagai alat utama dalam mengamati dan menganalisa bagian tersebut sehingga mendapatkan jawaban yang tepat sesuai dengan maksud Sang Penulis Alkitab.
